Carbon dioxide is used in organic chemical synthesis to produce a variety of commonly used chemical products, such as urea and salicylic acid.
With synthetic ammonia as the raw material gas, various fertilizers can be produced. 1 ton of synthetic ammonia can produce 2 to 2.2 tons of ammonium nitrate, 3.8 to 4 tons of ammonium sulfate, and 1.5 to 1.7 tons of urea. Oxygen is used as a gasification agent for pulverized coal or heavy oil, and nitrogen is used as a raw material gas in the synthesis and as a safety protective gas for the device.
